If you’re a fan of traditional mint jelly, but like to keep things interesting, this is your sauce – with a sweet apple base and the refreshing aromatic notes of Kawakawa.
Beaut’ with either sweet or savoury dishes, Kawakawa gives this jelly a refreshing herbaceous kick that manages to be both cool and spicy. A knockout teamed with crackers and creamy blue cheese or sharp hard cheese, or an unexpected glaze for a fresh fruit flan.
Give it a try:
- Slather on lamb burgers, cold cut meats and left over roasts
- Try it instead of BBQ sauce for the most luscious pulled pork.
- If you’re a fan of Māori bread it’s a must for the sweet tooth (don’t forget the butter!).
